Tarvas x Unownedspaces Easy Hiker - Natural Veg Tan Leather

The Tarvas and Unownedspaces Easy Hiker is the natural progression of a friendship that began in 2021 over a love of footwear design and material research. 

The shoe uses a natural, vegetable-tanned, Italian cow leather that will age uniquely based on the choices of each wearer. 

Each pair is produced without any precoatings of wax or oil to the leather and will develop a patina from exposure to sunlight, air, and any moisture.

Some wearers may choose to apply a wax or balsam to seal the leather against the elements. Some wearers may choose to wear the shoe exclusively on sunny days, and darken the leather through oxidation. Other wearers may choose to wear the shoe in all weather conditions, staining the leather from rain and achieving a weathered look.

Whatever the wearer chooses, no two pairs of this Easy Hiker will look the same over its wearing lifespan.
